Chardonnay 2012 vintage of Hautes Cotes de Nuits Burgundy, a single release from "Lieu Dieu" vineyard ("God's Place") $36 per bottle or $400.00 per dozen.
Tasting notes: delightful rumour of peaches, light long palate, minimal oak, no histamines and totally satisfying, a truly wonderful chardonnay from a great vineyard.
Pinot Noir 2012 vintage of Cote de Nuits Villages Burgundy, a single release from "Chantemerles" vineyard "(Blackbirds") $42 per bottle or $450.00 per dozen.
Tasting notes: smooth, soft on your palate with cinnamon and nutmeg and subtle pleasing fruit to the taste but ideal pinot noir character - and 2012 is only young with many years ahead to become one a truly great Bourgogne rouge.
